Facing troubles inside and out, the CCP is onto the path of transforming China into a North Korea on steroids. In the name of realizing the ideals of communism, it is actually implementing a strict autocratic rule.
The CCP deceived its people with communist ideals and won itself the country. After gaining power, it used communist ideals to strengthen its autocratic rule. The CCP is using a fictional paradise to hypnotize the Chinese.
According to the CCP logic, socialism adheres to the principle of “every individual does their best, and to be distributed according to their labor”. It claims that the country is committed to improving people’s living standards, raising people’s ideological awareness, and continues to elevate people’s material living standards and moral standards. This is one progress towards Communism paradise. Upon reaching the stage of communism, the country implements the principle of “every individual does their best, and to be distributed according to their needs”.
“every individual does their best, and to be distributed according to their labor” means that everyone will put in their best effort and work, and resources will be distributed accordingly to each person’s labor input; “every individual does their best, and to be distributed according to their needs” means that everyone will put in their best effort and work, and resources will be distributed accordingly to each person’s needs.
As long as you contribute effort, whatever your needs are, the country will provide. Isn’t communism wonderful?
Marxism’s foundation is in the principle of “surplus value”. It means that for every product a worker produces, there is a difference between the price of the product and the remuneration the worker receives. This difference is the value exploited by the capitalist. When a worker produces a product for $10, the worker receives $3, and the remaining $7 goes into the pocket of the capitalist. Hence the capitalist gets rich, and the worker is poor. This is an extremely unreasonable system.
In fact, after the Communist Party established the socialist system, the surplus value did not return to the pockets of the workers and farmers, but was all turned over to the country. The government used this wealth scrounged from its people and splurge it on the powerful families and dignitaries. It uses the money to mess up the economy, to support the world revolution. In the end, the workers, farmers, and general public get nothing. Before the reform and opening up, the Chinese people have been poor for decades. Since opening up, the country got rich, but the people got a small cut, and the rest went to the powerful dignitaries. Exploitation remains rampant, and the Gini coefficient increases.
Simply put, the Communist revolution solved nothing in surplus value, and even snatched all the values that were previously exploited by the capitalist and placed them into the hands of the Communist Party – the Communist Party is not a capitalist, but the Communist Party is the world’s biggest exploiter.
The Communist revolution claims to liberate the working masses, to let the people be the boss. However, since taking power, not only are the people not liberated, but on the contrary, their political rights were deprived even more, and people have an even more diminished sense of security in their lives, and a heightened opportunity to be blamed or even enslaved in the harsh political environment.
As of today, the CCP’s control of the people, coupled with the country’s enormous wealth and advanced technology, the impenetrable regime has reached its peak. The CCP even uses brainwashing education to deprive its people of their self-will, freedom of thoughts, and personal rights. Every citizen is nothing but a dog or a chicken in the animal farm, trampled upon at the will of the autocratic machine.
On the economic level, the plunder is pervasive and unstoppable. Cruel political oppression, unprecedented cultural slaughter, the loss of personal rights, the lack of social justice, freedom trapped like a bird in a cage, and as safe as walking on thin ice…how is this Chinese-style socialism to lead its people towards Communism paradise?
Poor, poor Chinese people. Every day they stare at this painting of a Communist pie on the wall. Their mouths water, and their eyes sparkle. They mumble and talk, but nobody asks: Where has the surplus value promised by Marx gone?
However, the wonderful life described by Marx was realized on the other side of the Strait. Today in Taiwan, people live freely. The economy is highly developed, and personal safety and political rights are guaranteed. All this is not endowed by Communism, but the result of well-developed capitalism. It is guaranteed by universal values.
As for Hong Kong, there was no socialism during the British-Hong Kong era, but the basic rights of Hongkongers were materialized. Democracy had a skeleton, there was plenty of freedoms, the law guaranteed fair competition, and the standard of material living topped the world. After the CCP took Hong Kong back, within 23 years, Hong Kong is changed beyond recognition. In order to suppress the resistance of Hongkongers, the CCP forced upon the national security law. From then on, there was no hope for democracy, no talk of human rights, no practice of freedom, and no rule of law.
The drawing of paradise remains on the wall, but hell is right in front of our eyes. Hongkongers have woken up, but mainlanders are still dreaming.
