記者每年都經常跟大家一同去不少Apple的發佈會看最新產品，不過今次到美國紐約就有點特別，硬件欠奉，但就公佈和介紹多個年度最佳Apps及Games。其實Apple每年都有在網上發佈「Apps and Games of the Year」，不過像這樣實地舉辦活動卻是第一次，雖然場地不算大，但就相當熱鬧，像開party一樣。現場更派發了一個設計頗特別的場刊，以一個寫着「And the winners are...」的信封，裝着得獎名單，就如頒獎禮一樣，相當有心思。

Apps和Games都分開iPhone、iPad、Mac及Apple TV 4個範籌獎項，而Games更加設了今年新的Apple Arcade項目。獲獎Games未都是大家見慣玩慣之作，反而是一些比較創新、玩法和概念都特別的作品，其中充滿速度和刺激感、加上獨特畫風的Sayonara Wild Hearts（Apple Arcade Game of the Year）和大玩復古風味的Hyper Light Drifter（iPad Game of the Year），記者都覺得是相當值得一試之作。

Apps方面就以圖像為主，Spectre Camera （iPhone App of the Year）在現場用上不同燈光道具玩光繪，令在場人士玩得相當高興。製作人說這程式特別之處在於利用了AI和機器學習，可以在慢快門下自動調節曝光，加上可實時預覽，令拍攝更容易。另外，Flow by Moleskine（iPad App of the Year）就邀請了幾位畫家在現場即席為嘉賓畫不同風格的人像作品，同樣相當受歡迎。
