Since you founded Apple Daily, I have been a fan of it. Though I emigrated twenty years ago, I am still a subscriber to it. I couldn’t even visualize in my dream the city in which I was born and grew up would turn into such a place where the legal system is all gone! I feel heartbroken at you being taken into custody for trumped-up charges. You said you could hang in there for you had been an illegal immigrant to Hong Kong with only one yuan in your pocket sleeping in a factory. But you could put up with it because you were still young back then. Now that you are already 73, I am extraordinarily worried about you. I hope you take really good care of yourself. Hong Kongers need you, and owe you and the younger generation a lot. I am not of any help except wishing you the best from afar. Add oil!
