1. Blanch spareribs. Soak dried fig in water. Peel carrot and cut it into hob blocks. Peel apple and pear, core and then cut them in chunks.
2. Boil 1.5 L of water. Put in ginger, fig, spareribs, pear, apple and carrot. Cover the lid and cook in mid-low heat for 1.5 hrs. Season the soup with salt.
