希拉莉撐美國人有權為香港民主自由發聲　多數黨領袖籲 NBA 學習港人勇氣

    美國 NBA 籃球隊候斯頓火箭總經理莫雷 (Daryl Morey) 日前在 Twitter 表態撐香港爭取自由，引起中國封殺風波。美國前國務卿希拉莉（Hillary Clinton）周二（10月8日）在 Twitter 力撐莫雷，指所有美國人都有權為支持香港的民主與人權發聲，美國參議院多數黨領袖麥康奈爾（Mitch McConnell）亦呼籲 NBA 學習港人的勇氣，不要輕言放棄放棄言論自由及人權等重要的價值。
    希拉莉周二（8日）在 Twitter 發文力撐，相信是與莫雷表態撐香港，惹來中方封殺有關，她指每一位美國人都有權為支持香港的民主與人權發聲。

    此外，繼多位美國跨黨派國會議員，以及總統候選人表明支持莫雷、狠批 NBA 為利益放棄底線後，美國參議院多數黨領袖、共和黨參議員麥康奈爾（Mitch McConnell）周二也在 Twitter 發文，促請 NBA 能向港人學習，不要輕言放棄言論自由及人權等重要的價值 ，「香港人冒著遠超於金錢的風險，去捍衛他們的言論自由、人權和自治權利。我希望 NBA 能學習這份勇氣，不要輕易因觸及（利益底線）而放棄這些價值觀」。

    麥康奈爾有份撰寫國會於 1992 年通過的《香港政策法》，他經常有就香港的自治權發聲。上月參議院撥款委員會通過他的修正案，以確保美國密切監察中國政府對香港作出富攻擊性的侵略行為（aggressive encroachment），他又動議國會立法撥款 150 萬美元以促進香港民主。
