致香港市民及國泰航空乘客：

謹代表 國泰航空空中服務員工會全體會員，感謝您們在過去兩星期內的支持及體諒。 有您們的支持，我們成功取回了被剝削的待遇，令我們得以維護打工仔女的尊嚴。

本地工資水平倒退回二十年前，絶非只在航空界發生。而香港經濟在大財團壟斷下，打工仔女的薪酬、福利已無聲無息地被遂步蠶食。

今次的成果不但屬於每一位支持「維護打工仔權益的市民」，而且是工會會員團結一致的結果。在我們維護空中服務員的權益邁進一步之同時，亦呼籲香港每位打工仔女都團結力量捍衛權益。

本會亦藉此機會，促請香港特區政府盡快就「集體談判權」正式立法，從而確認集體談判權在勞資關係中不可或缺的地位，並制止財團繼續無止境地壓榨打工仔女。
最後，我們再一次衷心感謝各界人士支持。

An Open Letter from Cathay Pacific Flight Attendants Union

On behalf of Cathay Pacific Airways Flight Attendants Union (FAU), we would like to thank you for the consistent support and understanding you showed us in the past two weeks over the issues raised in the dispute between Cathay Pacific Airways and FAU.

We were particularly heartened at the level of support we received from our frequent travelers and Cathay Pacific Marco Polo Card Members, as well as from the citizens of Hong Kong and our Union Members.

It was only with your support that we were able to win back our contractual rights and establish some new working practices going forward.

We believe this outcome belongs to every Hong Kong citizen who is prepared to stand firm in protecting the interests of working people.

With that in mind, we urge Hong Kong S.A.R. Government to acknowledge the vital role played by “Collective Bargaining” in building bridges between employers and employees and to pass the bill to re-instate the legislation of Collective Bargaining Power which was removed by LegCo following the handover in 1997.
