【多圖合集】藝界群起創作　聲援疑遭警壓頸致死亡美國黑人男子

早前，美國明尼蘇達州最大城市明尼亞波利斯一名黑人男子 George Floyd 懷疑因為警員過分武力致死，事件引發連日多處示威。藝文界群起聲援死者，網上湧現插圖之際，多個城市上空出現 George Floyd 的「遺言橫額」；明尼蘇達州藝術家合作製作壁畫紀念，「他是英雄，而不是殉道者。我們正面描述他，務求大家都記住這個名字。」

上月尾，4 名警員在拘捕 George Floyd 的時候，以膝頭壓著他的頸部最少 7 分鐘。其親屬委託的驗屍報告本周一（6 月 1 日）公佈，指外力導致缺氧死亡，意即「他殺」。George Floyd 的死，觸發多個城市反警暴的示威。示威者行動轉趨激烈，多地發生燒車、搶劫、大肆破壞。

另一邊廂，「和理非」的抗爭在網絡世界進行。多名藝文界在 Instagram 發圖，紀念 George Floyd，並呼籲追尋公義，包括：作家Nikkolas Smith、詩人 vientoxsol、圖像記者 Mona Chalabi、設計師 Shirien 等。

Yesterday, in yet another act of anti-black police violence causing mass outrage, George Floyd yelled “I can’t breathe” and pleaded for his life as a white Minneapolis police officer violently pinned him down with his knee on his neck. George died after. He was murdered in broad daylight. His death is reminiscent of the death of Eric Garner. Even with a crowd yelling at him to stop and while folks filmed the murder, the cop did it anyway, showing the massive injustice, zero accountability and white supremacy embedded in the “criminal justice” system. Heartbroken, angry and disgusted. This must end. Much love and solidarity to Black communities grieving another beautiful life lost. May George Floyd Rest in Power. There should not be so many dashes here. Black people are 3x more likely than white people to be killed by the police in the US. And yet, there should also be more dashes here. Because of health inequalities, a black baby born today is expected to live til they're 71.9 years old. For white babies, that number is 76.4 years. George Floyd is pictured here with his daughter. George Floyd’s life mattered. His killer, Derek Chauvin has just been arrested as he should’ve been days ago. Chauvin’s arrest is not justice, and his conviction will only be a fraction of justice. 線上聲援不絕，線下也有活躍於達拉斯的藝術家 Jammie Holmes 製作「空中橫額」。上周末，美國多個城市，包括：紐約、底特律、邁阿密和達拉斯的上空，出現巨型文字橫額。橫額寫有 George Floyd 的「遺言」，以「他們將要殺死我」（They’re Going to Kill Me）、「我不能呼吸」（Please I Can’t Breathe）、「我條頸好痛」（My Neck Hurts）等，直接控訴警察的暴力行為。Jammie Holmes 認為，「空中橫額」的形式有助訊息廣傳。

與此同時，明尼蘇達州藝術家組合起來，為 George Floyd 的死亡製作大型壁畫。他們回到 George Floyd 被捕的超市，在門外牆壁上繪製壁畫。壁畫不但有死者肖像，更附上死者的名字。壁畫角落位置又寫上其他近年遭美國警察殺害的非裔美籍人士名字。其中一名參與藝術家 Cadex Herrera 解釋創作理念，指 George Floyd 是英雄，而非殉道者，「我們正面描述他，務求大家都記住這個名字。」
