View this post on Instagram Here’s a dolphin, jumping out of the swell. Is it a robot? It’s quite hard to tell. __ This week we learned that a New Zealand-based company called Edge Innovations has created awesomely cool robotic dolphins so realistic that you apparently can’t tell them from the real thing. But they cost an eye-watering $26m each according to the @guardian. Well - we’ve created our own version that - as with all our creations - also looks exactly like the real thing. But this one’s just a picture - and didn’t cost $26m. __ #thingsihavedrawn #dolphin #edgeinnovations A post shared by Things I have drawn (@thingsihavedrawn) on Jul 18, 2020 at 8:33am PDT

View this post on Instagram I know you might think that I’m having a laugh, Well I’m not - because this is an actual giraffe. __ Hello everyone. So we’re currently working on a couple of interesting new projects, but they’re taking a bit longer than I thought they would, so I’ve decided to re-share one of our earliest, but, I think, funniest animals - Dom’s giraffe. Actually it’s probably my favourite rhyme as well. We’ve not shown this exact picture on Insta before - this is the photo from our book ‘Things I Have Drawn at the Zoo’. By the way, we’ve started a new Twitter account. It’s very early days with no followers. There’s just a few of our old favourites on there so far, but eventually we might start previewing stuff on Twitter before it hits Insta. Check it out at twitter.com/thingsivedrawn if you like (it’s ‘I’ve’ because ‘I have’ was too long for the Twitter handle!) Oh - and we’re also on facebook.com/thingsihavedrawn for any older people out there. __ #thingsihavedrawnatthezoo #giraffe #kidsdrawings A post shared by Things I have drawn (@thingsihavedrawn) on Jun 6, 2020 at 8:37am PDT

View this post on Instagram We just saw this woodpecker up in a tree (It's looking pretty normal to me.) ___ Hi everyone. Today we’ve been doing the #BigGardenBirdWatch for @rspb_love_nature. I’ll be honest - this isn’t really the woodpecker we saw. The one we saw had two legs. And looked like a sparrow. Actually, I think it was a sparrow. View this post on Instagram There’s nothing here that should cause you alarm. It’s just an orangutan with a floating arm. ___ Hi everyone. So this is another pic from our book ’Things I Have Drawn at the Zoo’. Our little friend, Amy, was telling us how her teacher was reading the book out to her class recently, but couldn’t finish it because she was laughing so much. I can’t guarantee everyone will find it that funny, but hopefully you’ll like it if you buy it. It’s a story (kind of) suitable for kids and for adults: bit.ly/thingsihavedrawn A post shared by Things I have drawn (@thingsihavedrawn) on Feb 23, 2020 at 9:47am PST
