黎智英遭控違國安法 蓬佩奧促撤控：揭露中共專制是黎的唯一「罪行」

壹傳媒創辦人黎智英昨日（11 日）被加控「勾結外國或境外勢力危害國家安全」罪，今早提堂，美國國務卿蓬佩奧今早在 Twitter 促請當局撤銷指控，並且立即釋放黎智英。
蓬佩奧表示，「黎智英唯一的『罪行』，就是他講出真相，揭露中共專制與其對自由的恐懼」。他並且說，《港區國安法》本身就是「對公義的嘲弄」（mockery of justice）。
蓬佩奧在黎智英於 8 月被捕時亦曾經發聲。蓬佩奧當時表示，對於黎智英因《港區國安法》被捕感到極為困擾，「這進一步證明中國共產黨已剝奪了香港的自由並侵蝕了其人民的權利。」
