前google高層　小米副總裁Hugo Barra否認抄襲：外界對中國公司有偏見

    中國手機廠牌小米，經常被指抄襲蘋果iPhone，蘋果設計總監 Jony Ive 曾公開批評小米手機對蘋果的抄襲是「盜竊」（theft）；2013年離開Google加入小米任科技副總裁的Hugo Barra，日前則反駁外界抄襲指控，形容是「鬧劇」，批評人們是將他們對中國公司的偏見，投射到小米之上，指人們根本不能夠相信中國公司也能成為世界級創新公司。
    彭博通訊社昨日播出Hugo Barra的專訪。被主持問到外界對小米的抄襲指控時，Barra強調這是外界對中國公司偏見的投射。

    It was in many ways people projecting their bias against Chinese coompanies onto us. People couldn't bring themselves to believe a Chinese company actually could be a world innovator, could build amazing high-quality products, and by the way sell them for less than half the price of a high-end Apple or Samsung device.

    Barra認為，外界指小米手機的整體外觀與感覺，是不公平，指今時今日所有智能手機外型都很相似，任何公司也不能將某個特質獨攬。

    So I don’t think that’s fair — if you’re sort of pointing that criticism to us, right? Without a doubt — every smartphone these days kinda looks like every other smartphone, right? You have to have curved — corners. You have to have, you know, like, at least a home button in some way, right? That’s how interaction design works. So I just don’t think that we can allow a company to take ownership — of things that just are how they are, right?

    他認為整場抄襲鬧劇（melodrama），指的只是Mi-4與iPhone 5設計同樣採用邊緣斜面切角（chamfered edge），但這個要素亦廣泛見諸其他廠牌的手機。
    Barra強調，過去12個月中小米的設計當中有很多原創元素，將來會繼續朝這個方向發展。
