【初選 47 人被控顛覆】美國國務卿促立即放人　「政治參與不是罪行」　國家安全顧問轟中國背棄國際承諾

    警方 2 月 28 日以「串謀顛覆國家政權罪」落案起訴，參與或組織民主派初選的 47 人，他們今日在西九龍法院提堂，美國國務卿布林肯 (Antony Blinken) 在 Twitter 發文，指美方譴責對香港泛民主派的拘留和指控，促請有關當局立即釋放他們。他強調，政治參與和言論自由不應構成罪行。他又表示，美國與香港人站在同一陣線。

    We condemn the detention of and charges filed against pan-democratic candidates in Hong Kong's elections and call for their immediate release. Political participation and freedom of expression should not be crimes. The U.S. stands with the people of Hong Kong.

    美國國家安全顧問蘇利文 (Jake Sullivan) 今早 (1/3) 發 Twitter 批評，指北京拘押香港民主派人士突顯中國背棄向全世界許下香港自治及民主權利的承諾。他強調，會與勇敢的民主派人士站在同一陣線。蘇利文又在該帖文附上中國官方網站的中英聯合聲明全文連結，暗示中國未有遵從聲明。

    蘇利文與布林肯自一月上任以來，已多次就香港議題與中國人權問題發言，顯示拜登政府會繼續對華強硬外交政策。英國外相藍韜文較早前也有表示，對香港民主派議員的大搜捕令人極度憂慮，反映國安法被用來肅清異見，而非如中國政府承諾，旨在恢復社會秩序。（詳看另稿）
