英國王夫菲臘親王於本月 9 日離世。英女王伊利沙伯二世於周三（21 日）迎來 95 歲生辰，英國王室於 Facebook 專頁發布英女王生辰帖文及她穿上紫色套裝的相片。專頁亦發布英女王的訊息，表示其家族雖仍處於悲傷中，但見廣大公眾向菲臘親王致敬，仍感安慰。
英國王室發佈英女王給全世界悼念菲臘親王的公眾的訊息，表示在 95 歲生辰之時，她收到很多祝福的訊息，對此表示感謝。英女王又表示，家中各人仍處於悲傷之中，但見到英國、英聯邦國家以至全世界對菲臘親王致敬，對她們一家是一種安慰。英女王表示，她和家人對支持表示感謝，亦深受感動，並再一次令他們確認菲臘親王一生中對無數人留下非凡的影響。
英國首相約翰遜亦於 Twitter 上表示，向英女王送上溫暖的祝福。
