【歐國盃】「親愛的拉舒福特，希望你唔好唔開心」　一幅壁畫從仇恨到鼓勵的 24 小時

    英格蘭在香港時間 12 日清晨舉行的歐國盃決賽，12 碼不敵意大利。最後射失 12 碼的三名球員都不是白人，敗陣後他們遭受大量種族歧視言論。其中球員拉舒福特一幅壁畫被寫上歧視言論破壞。然而在 24 小時內，這些言論反引來大批支持者到場「反擊」，貼上鼓勵拉舒福特的語句之餘，更帶同 Black Lives Matter 標語到場抗議。拉舒福特指自己非常感動，幾乎掉淚。
    決賽敗戰後，拉舒福特的社交媒體帳號被嘲弄其種族的馬騮和香蕉的 emoji 淹沒。此外，在其生地曼徹斯特，一幅拉舒福特的壁畫被人用藍油漆上侮辱性字句。當地警方表示，是在決賽翌日凌晨 2 點 50 分接報得知壁畫被毀，現正進行調查。總警司 Paul Savill 說﹕「這種乞人憎的事，不能夠容忍。」
    然而壁畫被毀後，大量民眾隨即自發「反擊」,有人用黑色垃圾袋將歧視言詞遮蓋，有支持者在壁畫上貼心心，並在上面寫上「英雄」、「榜樣」等詞，以表支持。拉舒福特除踢波外，亦熱心公益，曾發起慈善運動，為英國基層兒童提供超過 40 萬份膳食。有小男孩在心心上面寫﹕「親愛的拉舒福特，希望你唔好唔開心，因為你係一個好人。」也有訊息表示，「你要知道人們有多愛你、仰慕你。」「不幸地，這個世界總有恨，但還有更多、更多的愛。」
    當地時間今日（13 日），該壁畫成為表達對球隊支持和反種族歧視的集會場地。除貼打氣語句外，亦有民眾帶同 Black Lives Matter 的標語到場示威。

    拉舒福特本人曾發聲明說，他覺得自己令所有人失望，承認自己的 12 碼踢得不好，願意就其表現接受批評，「但我永不會就我是誰和我來自哪裡道歉。」對於壁畫從充滿惡意內容，到貼滿為他打氣的訊息，拉舒福特則表示非常感動，幾乎掉淚 (had me on the verge of tears)。
