要求性別認同障礙治療　洩密美軍曼寧獄中絕食：已準備絕食至死

    因洩露大量機密文件而被判囚35年的變性美兵曼寧（Chelsea Manning），昨天發表聲明，展開絕食，直到美國政府協助治療她的性別認同障礙，提供「有尊嚴、尊重且符合人道」的待遇。
    曼寧透過代表公布一份聲明，內容提及她曾經因為得不到性別認同障礙相關治療而試圖自殺，至今仍未獲得協助，「我需要幫助，六年來透過5五個別的服刑單位，我已一經表明需要協助，但回應我請求的卻是忽略、拖延、嘲諷，再不然就是來自獄方、軍方及政府的無關痛癢的作為，與空口白話。」
    曼寧指出，已決定不再被監獄或美國政府的任何人「欺凌」，在當地9月9日零晨起，如得不到應有的「有尊嚴、尊重且符合人道」的待遇，將會拒絕剪短頭髮、進食，只會飲水以及服食已處方的藥物外，會絕食直到她死或永遠不能動。
    曼寧指出，自己的行動和平以及非暴力，自己無意作任何反抗、或傷害任何人，自己已簽署放棄急救同意書，已有心準預備長時間絕食，甚至絕食直死。

     As of 12:01 am Central Daylight Time on September 9, 2016, and until I am given minimum standards of dignity, respect, and humanity, I shall—refuse to voluntarily cut or shorten my hair in any way; consume any food or drink voluntarily, except for water and currently prescribed medications; and comply with all rules, regulations, laws, and orders that are not related to the two things I have mentioned....

    Until I am shown dignity and respect as a human again, I shall endure this pain before me. I am prepared for this mentally and emotionally. I expect that this ordeal will last for a long time. Quite possibly until my permanent incapacitation or death. I am ready for this

    曼寧原名為Bradley Manning，早於2010年已被診斷有性別認同障礙。曼寧於2010年向維基解密（WikiLeaks）網站泄露75萬頁美國外交和軍事機密文件和影片，當中包括伊拉克和阿富汗戰爭的國防機密檔案，以及美軍擊殺兩國平民的影片，軍方同年5月拘捕她。2013年，曼寧被帶到軍事法庭接受審訊，控以22項罪名，指控她的行為危及公眾性命，她終被裁定間諜和竊取國家財產等共20罪名成立，同年8月被判入獄35年；曼寧正就刑期上訴。
    去年2月，曼寧獲美國軍方批准，為她提供荷爾蒙治療，變性為女人。今年7月，曼寧代表律師確認，她在獄中試圖自殺。
