*聯合聲明 Joint Statement*

三十名選舉委員會 (法律界界別分組) 委員就昨日被廣泛報導指屬前香港特別行政區特首董建華之言論表示深切關注。

任何企圖以威脅手段向行政長官選舉委員會成員施加壓力或影響，以左右其行使提名權，使任何參選人得益或受損的行為，均有可能構成煽惑（或企圖煽惑）犯罪，應受強烈讉責。

這種行為損害了我們行政長官選舉的公平性，並且無視了大多數香港市民對在沒有無知及愚昧的外來干預下進行自由和公平選舉的願望。

30 members of the Election Committee (Legal Subsector) are deeply concerned at widely reported remarks attributed to former Chief Executive of Hong Kong Chee-Hwa Tung yesterday.

Any attempt to exert pressure or influence, by use of threats, to any member of the Chief Executive’s Election Committee over their exercise of nomination powers, to the detriment or advantage of any potential nominee, is to be deplored and may amount to inciting (or attempting to incite) the commission of a criminal offence.

Such action undermines the fairness of our Chief Executive's election and shows a callous disregard for the aspirations of most Hong Kong people to have free and fair elections without ignorant and insensitive interference.
