喪屍片之父病逝 美國導演佐治雷米路享年77歲

譽為「喪屍片之父」的美國導演佐治雷米路（George A Romero），肺癌病逝，享年 77 歲。
製作夥伴 Peter Grunwald 昨日向 LA Times 轉交佐治雷米路家人的聲明，指佐治雷米路當地時間星期日，「結束與肺癌短暫但積極的抗戰」。彌留之際，他與妻子和女兒，聽著最喜愛的電影之一《蓬門今始為君開》（The Quiet Man）的音樂，最終在睡夢中安詳離世。
1940 年出生於美國紐約的佐治雷米路，大學畢業後即投身電影事業，拍攝多條短片及商業廣告。1960 年代末，他與九名友人成立製作公司「Image Ten Productions」，並於 1968 年自編自導《活死人之夜》（Night of the Living Dead），開展其喪屍片生涯。連同 1978 年和 1985 年的《生人勿近》（Dawn of the Dead）和《喪屍出籠》（Day of the Dead），合稱為「喪屍經典三部曲」，更為他贏得「喪屍片之父」的稱譽。2000 年之後，年過六十的佐治雷米路亦不言休，2005 年推出《活死人地帶》（Land of Dead）。
佐治雷米路傳出後，不少影圈中人表示哀悼。以恐怖小說著稱的作家史蒂芬·金（Stephen King）、英國恐怖片影評人 Kim Newman、演員 Bruce Campbell 等先後在 Twitter 向前輩致哀。Stephen King 形容，佐治雷米路不但是「最佳合夥人」，也是「好朋友」，感嘆此後「再無另一個像你這樣的人」。
