推翻奧巴馬決定 特朗普宣佈禁止跨性別人士從軍

美國總統特朗普在 twitter 宣布，與軍方及軍事專家商討後，華府決定不再接受跨性別人士出任軍中任何職位，強調美軍須專注取勝，不能受跨性別人士所需的醫療費用，以及此群體會在軍方造成的擾亂（disruption）拖累。
已公開身份的跨性別人士服役的禁令於去年，在前總統奧巴馬任內撤銷，原定今夏起接受跨性別人士報名參軍。美媒今年五月報道，現任國防部副部長 Robert Walk 曾發出備忘錄，要求軍方於本月 1 日起準備接受跨性別人士報名入伍，但國防部之後宣佈延後實施計劃。
