馬斐森：彈性處理未能參加交流的學生

    港大內地交流的爭議沒完沒了，究竟交流計劃是否屬強制性質，校方各高層至今未有一致的答案。港大校長馬斐森向校園電視最新的回覆中，表示希望向所有學生提供交流「機會」，又表示會「彈性處理」不能參加交流的學生。
    早前，馬斐森向《南華早報》表示，有關交流計劃已呈至教資會（UGC），又明言學生要有充份理由，才能獲豁免到內地交流。其後，副校長（教學）何立仁（Ian Holliday）與學生會會面，卻解釋馬斐森的言論並非針對所有學生，只是指現時建築學院規定，三年級生須強制到香港大學上海學習中心交流。
    對於馬斐森及何立仁口徑不一，究竟計劃會如何落實，至今仍是未知之數。香港大學校園電視昨報道指，馬斐森回覆了校園電視的查詢，解釋他的原意。馬斐森表明，若果個別學生不能參加交流，校方會「彈性處理（show flexibility）」，並討論他們的需要。
    整個回覆中，馬斐森沒有提及強制交流只適用於建築學院三年級生。另外，他亦把「海外」及「內地」學習的機會概括稱為「opportunities outside Hong Kong」。馬斐森向校園電視的回覆原文如下：

    As detailed in my comments to SCMP (by the way, it was not an interview, jast an exchange of e-mails) our aim is to offer opportunities outside Hong Kong to 100% of HKU students by 2022. If individual students’ circumstances make it impossible for them to undertake such attachments, we will of course show flexibility and discuss their needs with them.

    I did not discuss the contents of Professor Ian Holliday’s speech to HKUSU with him beforehand but his comments related to a plan that has been approved by Senate, Faculty Boards and Senior Management Team.

    在本月17日，何立仁在港大學生會舉辦的高桌晚宴中表示，校方將強制所有學生至少參與一次前往中國的交換生計劃。他又明言若學生不願前往中國作交換生，就不應入讀香港大學。
