首名入圍奧斯卡最佳導演非裔美國人 導演 John Singleton 逝世 終年51歲

《鄰家少年殺人事件》導演 John Singleton 昨日（29 日）逝世，終年 51 歲。他於本月 17 日 中風入院，截至昨日其家人決定移除其維生系統。
Singleton 的家族發言人昨日表示：「我們心情沉重地宣布，我們深愛的兒子、父親和朋友 John Singleton 即將移除維生系統。這是我們家小心聽取醫生建議後，所作出的一個極為痛苦的決定。」
John Singleton 1968 年生於美國洛杉磯，1991 年執導了其代表作《鄰家少年殺人事件》。影片講述洛杉磯的幫派及黑人社區故事，同時反映了他的個人成長經歷。Singleton 父母離異，就像電影主角 Tre 那樣從小與父親生活。電影亦呈現了黑人社區中的問題與衝突。當年 24 歲的 Singleton 憑《鄰家少年殺人事件》入圍奧斯卡最佳導演，成為獲得此提名的首位非裔美國人，也是此獎項的最年輕入圍者。《鄰家少年殺人事件》亦有入圍當年的最佳電影。
John Singleton 其他執導作品包括：《玩命關頭2：飆風再起》、《在劫難逃》、《寶貝男孩》等。Singleton 逝世消息傳出後，知名男演員 Samuel L. Jackson、導演 John Carpenter、Ron Howard、Ava DuVernay 等均在社交媒體上發帖致哀。
