《星戰》Chewbacca 演員 Peter Mayhew 逝世　終年74歲

    《星球大戰》（Star Wars）中飾演經典角色朱兒（Chewbacca） 的演員 Peter Mayhew 逝世，終年 74 歲。其家人昨日（2日）發聲明，宣布 Mayhew 在 4 月 30 日晚在家人陪伴下於美國德州的寓所與世長辭，但沒有透露死因。

    Peter Mayhew 生於 1944 年的英國，身高 2.18 米的他，自 1977 至 2015 年開始出演《星戰》系列中的Wookie族戰士朱兒。Mayhew 家人在聲明中寫到：「 Mayhew將他的心血與靈魂都投放在朱兒一角中，並在每一個鏡頭中展現出來。」。Mayhew 最後一次參演的是 2015 年《星球大戰：原力覺醒》，當時他已經需要以輪椅代步，但依舊「再一次站起來，飾演一次朱兒」。他的家人表示：「《星戰》大家庭對他的意義，遠超過一個角色。」
    Mayhew 的死訊公開後，《星戰》團隊紛紛表示哀悼。飾演 Luke Skywalker 的 Mark Hamill 形容 Mayhew 是「最溫和的巨人」，並表示「非常感恩能夠認識他，擁有許多共同回憶」。

    華特迪士尼董事長 Bob Iger 亦對Mayhew 的逝世深感遺憾，他寫到：「Peter 以不同方式展現出比生命更巨大的一面。」
